Beautycounter: What’s worth it, what’s not?

If you have been into natural living for any amount of time, you’ve likely heard of Beautycounter. So many consultant tell you all about how much they love the products, and don’t get me wrong, I do too. But today I want to give you an honest down and dirty about the products I’ve tried.

I want to share with you today which products I love and which ones were meh. I do truly love the company, but I want to share with you, in my opinion, which products are worth it and which ones you may want to save some money on. Here we go:

Let’s start with Countermatch. This is a good basic line that is works well for most people who are looking for skincare.

Hydra-gel radiance toner
Rating: ⭐️⭐
I don't use toner much at all, so I honestly don't have much to compare this to. Many people report that they love it, but it's not a normal step in my routine, so I don't use it often at all.
Adaptive Moisture Lotion
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: about 5 months with daily use
This is my go-to daily moisturizer before I use my makeup. It absorbs quickly and really seems to help with my skin that tends to be on the dry side.
Eye Rescue Cream
Rating: ⭐️⭐️
I'm not really an eye cream girl. I don't struggle with dark circles or puffiness, so I don't use this one much at all. I do like it if my skin is extra dry in the winter or if I do wake up with some puffiness. However, it's not something I use regularly.
Recovery Sleeping Cream
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: I've had mine about 6 months with almost daily use and still have some left.
This is a must-have for me! This cream is amazing for my dry skin, especially in the winter. It feels silky going on and my skin doesn't feel tight or dry in the morning.
Intense Moisture Serum
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: Over 6 months used 2-3x/week
This one is take it or leave it for me. I like it ok, but between the oil I use (see below) and the sleeping cream, it's an extra step for me that I don't feel I need.
Adaptive Body Moisturizer
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: 6 months with almost daily use
I really like this lotion. It's gentle and absorbs easily and is very moisturizing for those trouble spots. It's a great body lotion that I like to keep around.
Beautycounter cleansing Balm

Let’s move on to the Counter + line. This is a line that has some of the more treatment and specialty products.

Cleansing Balm
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: 6 months + with almost daily use
This is one of my favorite products. It's great at removing makeup without drying out skin. I like to use it with these bamboo makeup removing pads. Since I struggle with dry skin, having a cleanser that doesn't dry is amazing. You can also wear this one for longer to have a nourishing mask.
No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: about 4 months with almost daily use.
This oil is what I use after cleansing my face. It has a lovely jasmine scent and a subtle plumping effect on the face. I use this after cleansing and then put on the sleepy cream just before going to bed. I prefer this oil to the No 1 Brightening Oil, but I'm sure it depends on your skin type.
Overnight Resurfacing Peel
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: I've had mine about 8 months and I use it 1-2x/week
This is a great peel and works well. It's more like a chemical peel (without the nasty chemicals), than an actual peel that you peel off your face. It resurfaces the skin and exposes fresh new skin. I do need to be careful as if my skin is too dry, this really burns to put on and my skin will be reddened in those areas the next day.
Charcoal Facial Mask
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: 6 months using 1x every week or two
I'm going to be honest and say that this bottle was much smaller than I expected for the price. Even though I do love the mask, I don't think it's much better than doing a clay mask for a lot less money.

Makeup is one thing Beautycounter does exceptionally well. More and more it’s seen in magazines and on the red carpet as well.

Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: 3+ months with daily use
I've tried many different tinted moisturizers over the years and this is by far my favorite. It goes on smoothly and offers a light coverage as it moisturizes. I wear the No. 2 in the winter months and No. 3 in the summer.
Color Pinch Cream Blush
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: At the time of writing, I've had mine for 4 months and it's barely even gone. I'm expecting to get close to a year or more with it.
I've used many different blushes over the years, but this is my first cream blush. It goes on nicely and wears well while not drying out my face, like powders tend to do for me. I use the hibiscus color.
Brilliant Brow Gel
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: 5+ months with daily use
This is another one that was much smaller than I expected. It almost looks like a mini mascara. I do love that it brings out and defines my very light brows. I've not tried another brow gel (yet) to compare it to. I have the medium color.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: 6+ months with almost daily use
The eyeshadow palette that I have was a Christmas special this past year. The colors are very pigmented (even my sister commented on this), and they wear well.
Color Intense Lipstick
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lasts: I've had mine for 9 months with using 2-3x/week (1 application/day)
I am not a lipstick girl. I prefer balm or gloss myself. That being said, the lipstick is nice. It goes on smoothly and has a soft mint scent to it. It wears well and stays put for roughly 2-3 hours, even with some eating and drinking.

There you have it. That is every Beautycounter product I’ve tried so far. I’ll keep adding to this list as I try new things. I hope you found this honest review helpful. If you haven’t tried Beautycounter yet and would like to, please fill out this form here.
